Sow autumn. Annual chamomile grows to 600mm and flowers prolifically. Dried flowers are used to make a calmative herbal tea. Leaves if infused in water (1 cup of leaves to 1 litre of water) are a preventative for the 'damping off' of fungus in young seedlings.
Since 1989, Drylands Permaculture Nursery in WA have sourced and acclimatised heirloom seed varieties to suit our semi-arid climate, and our prefernce for tasty nutritious food.
These seeds are grown in chemical-free food gardens and rarely found on supermarket shelves. They are all open pollinated.
