Melrose Castile Soaps are a pure and simple liquid soap, not a complex blend of detergents. Many commercial blends are labelled as "Liquid Soap" even when they contain absolutely no soap whatsoever. Melrose Castile Soaps do not contain any synthetic foaming agents or detergents

You may notice that some batches of Melrose Castile Soap are darker than others. The reason for this is that we use unrefined organic oils; they are not bleached, and therefore can vary in colour. Some vegetable oils also contain a small percentage of waxes, lecithin and other matter that do not dissolve in the reaction to make soap. This may make the soap appear cloudy.

How is it made?
Melrose Organic Castile Soap is made in the traditional way from organic virgin olive, coconut, palm kernel, flaxseed, safflower and other certified organic vegetable oils. Beautiful, clean, healthy skin clearly begins with Melrose Organic Castile Soap.

What is the pH?
All true soaps have a pH of between 9.5 and 10.
